THE BRADERIE: AN INSTITUTION

The Braderie de Lille takes place each year in the North of France, every first weekend of September. The existence of the clearance sale dates back to the twelfth century, it was originally a fair, has expanded to finally be an integral part of the Folklore of northern France. Each year, between two and three million people get lost in its alleys.

In the course of its history, the Lille stock market has also been called the “Lille Fair”. Then, it has evolved over time to become this popular gathering that it is today. Why come to Lille for the Braderie? Because it’s a weekend that everyone is waiting for, the opportunity for Lille to meet, to party and enjoy a good time with the family. The Braderie de Lille, in addition to 80 km of displays, the animations follow one another throughout the weekend
